It was the big day, the biggest day in the history of the world as Solomon was hyping it; it was the day of the Royal Battle! Fanfare filled the massive stone halls of The Ring, heard by the hundreds of people inside them. Banners were drapped over everything in sight and hanging from the archways. They were placed overnight with Solomon's magic. Each banner had the name and picture of a competitor in this giant match, complete with the percent chance of that person's victory. The three biggest names were at the head of the hall, and read this:
Thanatos: 99% chance of victory
St. Elliot: 80% chance of victory
Cool Hand Luke: 77% chance of victory

Fox stood there, standing in silent anger as she realized she was not even near the top for winning streaks. 'Eh, should figure. Solomon has not seen me fight so he's most likely going off of what he's seen.' Trying to find something to heal her pride though seeing Thanatos as number one really pissed her off. She stood there with her own long sword, Blue Mage's own magic sword strapped to her back as well, the two blades making an X along her back as her two small knives were also strapped to her waist. Even though she believed in her skills, she was still uneasy with the whole thing.
Thanatos let out a loud yawn, clearly finding the whole thing to be a drag. He grinned though as he saw a small banner for Fox. He knew he would have to stay away from her. If he hurt her, well, he knew her husband would be more then willing to pay him back for everything he did. He was looking forward to this fight, mainly since he could let loose and not worry about anything.

As Thanatos looked at the banner for Fox, he would see that the percentage chance of her winning was at thirty-four percent. Many Marines were hanging around the banner, painting encouraging words on it, and even going so far as to paint higher percentage chances on it. Fox was the closest thing in the battle representing the Marines, and they were going to give all their spirit to her, hoping that she would win. Then they would brag that their Admirals could beat her. That was par for the course though.
Tyrinia walked ahead of Thanatos, taking in the sights. She smirked coyly at some of the Marines in the crowd, making many of them shy away or gawk at her. She was happy with both reactions. She was safe in the knowledge that she had enough power at her disposal to fight off the Marines, but she did not need to, because Solomon had a peace accord stricken with the World Government so Thanatos could compete. The Marines nor the Shichibukai were allowed to attack the Dark Eternal Pirates, and Tyrinia was going to make good use of that to frustrate as many Marines as possible.
As Fox walked through the great stone hallways, resembling those of a castle's, she would notice many off duty Marines giving her their best. It was evident in their tone that while they supported her in this battle, they were only doing so because if she won, they could brag about the Marines being stronger than her. Same old for her.
Blue Mage walked with Fox to the waiting area with all of the other combatants. She saw many different people from all over the world, many of them appeared so foreign that they almost seemed like aliens. Blue Mage kissed Fox goodbye here, and left to get prime seats. A man in a black suit approached Fox, and informed her of the procedure.
"Alright, not much to know miss: everyone here will be going out in an order. They're going to be introduced, and have their own entrance. You're number twenty-four. Try to make your entrance a little flashy, the audience will cheer more for you." The suit explained before running along with his duties.

She could only sigh, not sure if she liked the Marines cheering for her or not yet. Well, as long as one group was on her side though she knew it would have very little to determine this battles outcome. She turned to see a man coming out and tell her what would happen before running off. " A flashy entrance? That's more up BM's way then mine." A smirk on her face as she thought about it.
Thanatos grinned at Tyrinia. "What are your orders with Fox Goddess? Do you wish for us to kill her or leave her alone?" He wanted to make sure he pleased his captain, after all he knew that since Fox was here the mage was not to far behind.

Tyrinia answered Thanatos' question very bluntly, "If she's in this battle, she's an enemy to be defeated. If lover doesn't like it, he shouldn't have let her get into this." She then sighed, saddened by the fact that no one would truly die in this battle, "Go ahead and kill...like it make any difference...that old guy will just go and revive her." She shrugged and gave her only order for the day, "Go out there and show the world what my monster can do. Give them reason to fear you." With that, she took her leave.
In the waiting room, Fox would see many different fighters. She saw a woman wearing a martial arts outfit, a man with dirty adventuring clothes holding an umbrella, a short swordsman covered in bandages that covered his entire body and face, a rather large man with a rifle and a cannon on his back, a man who looked more like a musician than a fighter, and a large host of others. The large man with the cannon was boasting to everyone that he was going to win the battle, and no one else was paying attenion to him.
The Ring was reaching fever-pitch, as the crowd filled the stands and were waiting for the combat to commence. Solomon was still building excitement for the upcoming battle, getting people very vocal and practially begging to let the battle begin. After a few moments while all of the thirty competitors finally gathered in the waiting area, Solomon at long last signalled for the Royal Battle to begin.
"You've waited good a long people, and now its time for the main event of main events to begin! I'm going to call the combatants out one at a time, and once all thirty are in the designated numbered circles that outline the battlefield, I'll signal for the start of combat! Coming in first, the man you all want to win and the man with the highest chance of winning, the indomitable shapeshifter: Thanatos!" Solomon screamed with excitement to match that of the crowd.

Thanatos nodded, knowing he would leave Fox alone and would enjoy messing with her if she made it to the finals. Instead he changed into a big two headed serpent and sliding out at a lighting speed before coiling into him self to change into his human form once he reached his spot. It wasn't the greatest, but it was still something. He grinned, waiting to see who all could come out.
Fox just sighed, seeing Than showing off. She just crossed her arms and waited for her self to be called out.

Solomon continued calling out names, and they all made their entrances. Many of the fighters were like Thanatos, not too interested in flair and really just wanted to get to fighting. The braggart with the cannon was the fifth person called out, "And next is a newbie that surprised the heck outta me when I first saw him, Sarge Complosion!"
When he came out, he did so with the flashiest manner he possibly could. Using his cannon, the man fired round after round of fireworks into the air to catch everyone's attention. The woman in the martial arts uniform shook her head as she watched this, obviously unimpressed by his theatrics.
Finally Fox was called out, "And now is a girl who begged me so hard to get into the fight that I just had to do so. The most recent Shichibukai or as some of you say, Warlord, is making her way into the killing space! Everyone give a big had to the infamous ex-pirate Fox! Even though she only has a thirty-four percent chance of winning..." Solomon announced, hoping to anger Fox even more. He would never tell anyone that he really calculated her odds of winning at seventy-six, that was because he wanted her to be as angry as possible. He knew, from his scrying, that anger gave Fox power, and he even calculated that with this anger, Fox's odds stood at a respectable eighty-one percent, putting her just ahead of the immensely powerful St. Elliot.

Fox did grow angry at what Solomon said. He made it sound like she begged him to fight. She snorted, clenching her fists as she walked out to pissed to do anything fancy, even if she wanted to. Thanatos winked at her, giving her a toothy grin and could only grin more as she flicked him off. She crossed her arms over her chest, wanting to get this damn battle over with so she could and her crew could get back out at sea. The faster they put space between them and this damn island, the better.

Solomon introduced more fighters, taking his time as usual, "And next out the gate is the perpetually lost martial artist from a far off land. He may not know how he got here, but he knows what's gonna happen when the fight's done! Ryoga Hibiki!"
For a few seconds, no one came in through the gate. At a period of time, someone finally shoved Ryoga out the gate, because he had been going the opposite direction he was supposed to. This was not out of fear, but rather due to his lack of a sense of direction. He had a brown adventuring outfit with a red bamboo umbrella in his right hand that was resting on his right shoulder. He took his stance in one of the circles outlining the battlefield.
Many more combatants came though the gate, many of them Fox would not know. There were just two other people out of the thirty fighters that Fox might recognize. They were Don Krieg, a pirate who was just beginning to explore the Grand Line for the second time, and a member of her fellow Shichibukai's crew, Jesus Burgess. That was twenty-nine people, there was one more person left in the roster.

Thanatos smiled, seeing another member of a Shichibukai's crew. The thought of going all out on the guy crossed his mind. It would serve to show the Marines that his captain was not someone to mess with and also win him an easy fight. Well, he would showing them a lot more in this little fight and he would enjoy it.
Fox just scowled, growing impatient as Solomon seemed to go as slow as he could. She was tapping her foot now, wanting to see just who the hell this last guy was so that this thing could get over with.

The crowd's excitement was at its highest, higher than anything ever seen before in the Ring. They wanted the fight to begin even more than Fox did; they had been waiting for it for a long time, and now they were finally going to see what promised to be the biggest spectacle in the history of organized fighting.
With the final fighter ready to come out, Solomon decided not to keep the fans waiting any more. He had been teasing them for some time regarding this battle, and in the process even gotten himself worked up. He wanted to see this battle just as much as everyone else, and now he, as well as everyone else, was going to see the battle of battles.
"Alright spectators, last and least we've got a guy who's calling himself Shishio! Now this ain't the swordsman we saw Bluey M trounce not long ago, not nearly ugly enough! Hee heh no, but this guy looks cool enough, and assures us that he is going all the way. Give it up for our unoriginal fighter!" Solomon shouted into his microphone that was on the top of his staff.
With that a short figure wearing many covering bandages walked into the area. His pace was even and calm and not hurried. He made no movement to acknowledge the fans, which garnered a lot of jeers, but some people cheered for him all the same, because they though he was cool. With Shishio settled in his, the final circle, it was finally time to start the battle.
Solomon shouted excitedly into his microphone, "Alright warriors, move your asses! It's death time!" With that he struck his floating steel platform twice with his staff, casting a teleportation spell that randomly placed each combatant in a random part of the battlefield. Solomon did this to remove what little strategy there was in who to attack first based on their initial positions. It was a true brawl now.
Fox would find herself next to a man in a white karate gi. He had black hair and appeared to be very quick. Everyone was disoriented by Solomon's trick, but this disorientation filled their fighting instincts, and many of them began attacking at once, seeing the sudden teleportation as a sort of starting gunshot. The man in the white karate outfit began to strike at Fox with a strong right punch, trying to get the first blow on the closest opponent.
After the teleportation, Thanatos would see that he was surrounded by a man holding a lute, the pirate Don Krieg, and the martial artist Ryoga. Neither of the people surrounding him seemed to comprehend what was going on. Krieg recovered the quickest, and armed himself with his stake gun to fire at Merchi, the man with the lute.

It seemed the old man was able to put on quite a show, making both Fox and Thanatos grow excited at the prospect of fighting. Thanatos could only smile, not to worried on what happened or just who all was here. What did a super human being like him have to worry about human opponents when he had a god on his side? Not only was he confident in winning, but he got to torment Fox, someone who he still lusted over but knew would be more fun to slowly humiliate her in front of thousands of people and her new husband. He pushed those thoughts away for now. If she lived through the matches and managed to make it to fight him, then he would have his fun but for now she could enjoy her pride while she had it.
As soon as he found him self in a new area of The Ring, Thanatos gladly allowed his blood thirsty self to take control. Those around him could see a the monsters eyes go from a normal human color to red. Death allowed him self some time to look around to who was unlucky enough to be placed so near him. A man with a instrument did not seem to be that much of a threat. His eyes went from the lute player to Krieg, it seemed this man would be fun to torment but he wanted someone that would have their full fear on him. It was then that monster saw Ryoga.
With a smirk, Death camly walked over to his victim. He was going over the thought on staying human to fight or to take on one of the many creatures he could be. That would be something he would play by ear, not wishing to give away all of his attacks right away. For now, Death started the fight with a punch to the other man's chest with his right hand as his left hand went to his pocket.
Fox on the other hand was not so luckily as Thanatos as to pick and chose who she fought. Instead she found her self in a new area of The Ring with a fist coming at her. With a cruse, she quickly backed out of the way of the attack, trying her best to look around her to see if anyone else wanted to try and take a swing at her. Once her quick glance was over with she was sure to make the man in front of her pay. Her hand went to Blue Mage's sword, bering the jeweled sword down to defend her self with. She hated fighting people that fought with their fists knowing that one wrong block and they could easily get her into a place to which they could easily attack her, all she could do no was hope that a good majority of the people here did not know about her abilities. All she could do now was wait for this guy to try and hit her again while keeping an eye out for anyone else trying to attack her from another side.

Ryoga was taken by surprise by Thanatos' sudden attack, but his defences were not completely shattered by the sudden teleportation caused by the insidious Solomon. Before the super human’s punch could land, the young martial artist’s instincts kicked in, and he crossed his arms over his chest, protecting himself from the attack. The force of the blow caused Ryoga to skid back a couple of feet, but he appeared to fine, and he even smirked to his opponent. Without any wasted time, Ryoga bounded forward with a quick jab to Thanatos’ face.
The black belt wearing martial artist relented his attack when Fox had, in one smooth and quick motion, had defended herself with a sword. He knew that he was at a disadvantage going into this battle, as he did not use weapons, but he had figured that his skills were sufficient to still be deadly in his own right. Now he had discovered that there was an opponent plenty fast enough to keep up with him, and she was armed with a sword! He could not give up though, he would not allow himself to submit to a woman. He adjusted his assault to deal with an armed opponent. His blows were fast and precise, but they were definitely not at the level that Fox was used to.
Up above, Solomon tapped his foot joyously and snickered. He was pleased with the scene of carnage beneath him, this was exactly what he needed to drum up more business; and reward his loyal fans, as he liked to do occasionally.

The sound of battles all around only increased the blood thirsty side of Thanatos as it was clear that the killer wanted to quickly finish this fight and enjoy the carnage him self. Something about Ryoga's movements made Than leery. Sure there were great fighters in The Ring right now but a man as plainly dressed at Ryoga should not have been able to shrug off their attack so easily, much less bounce back up and come back with their own punch. Something was not right, thinking of what was going on as his other side just stood there.
Death was more then happy to allow the human in front of them to hit them, it anything it would teach the weak human not to take them so lightly. It was Than that forced their body to move, making the punch only grave their cheek. "This is not someone to take easily! You should have broken his arms with that punch and yet he's still standing!"
It became clear to his other side that this battle would be a challenge. Death shrugged it off though, knowing just how to take care of someone so fast and able to think on their feet. He changed into a basilisk, knowing anyone staring into his eyes would be paralyzed before he could rush forward and kill them.
Fox was slowly forced back with blocking her opponents quick attacks. She was not about to lose up against her first opponent. Instead she kept an eye on his attacks, timing his next strike with her flicking a yellow gem. If she got it right he would be zapped and allow her to finish it quickly so she could get on to the next fight. If not, she would at least have him backing away from her instead of the other way around.

“Well, it seems the favourite of this battle has met a powerful opponent! Who knew such strength resided in this young man, Hibiki Ryoga?” Solomon announced with glee to the audience, who were cheering for their favourite fighters, many of whom had picked Ryoga just now.
It was just a graze, but Death would feel a rush of force pushing against his cheek; if he were not a homunculus, his cheek surely would have been ripped off; this would definitely give him a good idea of just how strong this martial artist was, and he was not finished yet. He ducked in close to Death, positioning himself so that his shoulders and head were close to his chest, seeing as there was a noticeable height difference between them. He then thrust his hands forward into Death’s midsection, and a large green ball of power flashed forth from his outstretched hands, Ryoga named this attack aloud, “Shi Shi Hokodan!” This move, if it connected, would thrust Death far away, colliding with great force into the arena’s wall away from him. These walls were magically enchanted to not break under any circumstance, and thus would not give if Death, or anyone else for that matter, collided with it.
As Fox parried her martial artist’s blows, her wall placed block and activation of the magic sword were dead on the money. Lightning burst forth from the bejeweled sword, and surrounded the martial artist, electrocuting him with enough electricity to knock a normal human being out cold. Seeing as how he was a normal human being with only a mortal understanding of martial arts, he was no match for the power of the blade and Fox’s experience, and fell to the ground unconscious.
Fox would get no reprieve though, as two sword wielding bounty hunters jumped her from behind. It was Johnny and Yosaku; they had made their way to the Grand Line to find even bigger bounties, and they had even gotten more powerful; powerful enough to fight on the Grand Line. They were, however, not up on the times, “If we can beat her here Johnny, we’ll can get her bounty for real later!”
“Yeah, so let’s give it all we got now Yosaku!” Came Johnny’s reply.
