When Siwa pressed the button, the device omitted a sound that was of a frequency that only pokemon could hear. Solar, who was standing next to Sara, seemed to shudder, when she heard the sound. It was not a painful sensation, rather a sensation that caused her to want to move. Along with Solar's reaction, if Siwa was paying enough attention, she would see a rustle in the tall grass away from the ocean, toward the town.
In the grass was a small round pokemon, that had a swirl on its belly. It was blue, and almost appeared to be a tadpole. This was the pokemon Poliwag, a pokemon Sara would recognize from the Kanto region.

Siwa looked as the strange pokemon in front of her shivered. Jack's tail even moved, seeming to want to jump around. She chuckled, looking up for some strange reason to see the grass moving around. "So, this thing is suppose to make the grass do that if a pokemon is near right?" Pointing to the small patch of grass.

Sara nodded, "Yes, you'll find a pokemon there. You might want to hurry over there though, because the pokemon will soon want to move on, and you may lose it." She informed Siwa.

"Let's go Jack." With that the pokemon bounded off towards the moving grass, not waiting for its trainer to catch up. "Use... um... Crunch!" Siwa yelled as she managed to catch up to her houndour. She had her fingers crossed that her friend had made it in time to get to the wild pokemon.

Jack's jaws came down upon the wild Poliwag's body, easily dealing great damage. The Poliwag squeaked out in pain and anger, and countered Jack's attack by squirting high pressure water out of its mouth. Sara nodded, "Watergun, huh? This Poliwag isn't very strong, it could benefit from having a good trainer."

Jack growled in anger as he was hit with the watergun. "Come on Jack! Shake it off and bite it again!" Jack shook off the water and did as he was told, racing at the tadpole like pokemon with his mouth open. Siwa was not standing by idle as she grabbed one of the pokeballs on the belt. She was just going on what Sara said so trying her luck with two attacks and then trying to catch it.

The Poliwag looked weak after taking two Crunch attacks, but it was still able to move. Sara, who was watching this battle with her Pokedex, saw that the Poliwag's health was in the red, "Perfect time for a pokeball." She said loudly enough for Siwa to hear.
The Poliwag, looking to try to escape, used its next attack in desperation. It thrust its chest out to Jack, and a power shot forth from the Poliwag's eyes made it appear as though the swirling pattern on its chest was rotating. The beam shot forth would make Jack fall asleep if it was not prepared for the sudden psychic attack.

Jack only growled, not about to let the Poliwag run off. He was not prepared however when it used its next attack. Jack slumped down onto the grass, a bubble coming out of his nose as he slept.
Siwa acted quickly as Jack was being put to sleep. She threw the pokeball at the pokemon hitting it and watching it go into the ball. "Wow..." Was all she could say, not knowing that it was still not over.

While Siwa watched, the pokeball with the Poliwag inside it began to shake back and forth; it appeared almost as if the pokemon inside was trying to get out. The pokeball jostled from side to side three times before a clicking sound could be heard, and the pokeball was still.
Sara approached Siwa from behind, clasped her hand on the girl's shoulder, and said, "Well, that's it. You caught your first pokemon. How does it feel?" She asked Siwa.

Siwa watched the pokeball, not sure what was going on just knowing that the pokemon inside wanted out. When the ball stopped moving she went over to Jack and picked him up. "If feels pretty good." She said with a chuckle, holding Jack like he was a teddy bear that had a snot bubble coming out of its nose. "To bad Jackie feel asleep though." With that she picked up her new pokemon in its ball and walked back to the beach. She set Jack down and let the tadpole out to meet it. "Hey little guy! You doing ok?"
She could only sigh as it used its tail to attack Jack in the face, waking the dog like pokemon up with a growl.

Sara chuckled, "Well, good luck. Your new pokemon will grow to like you eventually. Pokemon and humans were meant to be partners after all." She then sat back down in her beach chair, "You have a long road ahead of you young trainer. New places, new pokemon, and many adventures. Believe in yourself and your pokemon, and you'll do okay." She said, trying to bolster Siwa's spirit.

Siwa chuckled as the dog and tadpole fought for a few before finally cooling off and getting along just fine. "Seems pokemon get a long a lot better then humans do." She smiled at Sara though. "You bet. We will get stronger and then once we think we are strong enough we will come and take you on!" With that both her pokemon let out a cry to say they would agreed with Siwa.

Sara smiled broadly at Siwa, it was heartening to see a new pokemon trainer go off into the world, "Then train hard young trainer. I look forward to seeing your development and the bond you have with your pokemon at the end of your adventure. For now, I will relax here before I'm called back to duty. I'll be going after the new Gokou in the New World. Maybe we'll meet there." She then reclined in her chair, enjoying the warm breeze that came off the ocean, "Trust in yourself and in your pokemon." She reiterated.

Siwa called her pokemon over, bowing to Sara. "Thank you for the help! I'll never forget it." With that she said bye to Sara and her team while running off with Jack and her new Poliwag. Jack gave a howl as he ran beside his trainer as the newest member just gave a cheer of happiness as it waddled.
