Blue bat-like wings stretched open, casting shadows over the valley that they circled. His grip tightened on the reins as he leaned forward, watching the gathering below them. The people didn’t scream but cheered as the scaly beast dived down, touching the tips of their tents with a light brush of her wing. The she-beast circled the clearing once again before perching on an over looking cliff edge.
The youngster got off his dragon, patting her neck as he surveyed his army. The crowd of fighters chanted their names, awakening all the creatures around with their cries. The young boy raised his hand, demanding silence from the crowd. None made a sound as they waited their orders from the dragon rider, who now was watching them intently with his intimidating eyes.
An exotic variety of people stood before him, creatures from all corners of Alagaesia, both land and sea. From beautiful elves to the mighty dwarves, they gathered before him, all of them waiting his command. Grinning, his war cry erupted from him as the she-beast released a thundering roar, sending the soldiers berserk with excitement of the hunt to come. Victory was their hands....
